Mirror, Mirror ISS Enterprise

I've got to get my post count up to 50 so I can have an avatar so here's another ship I built.
This is the 1/1000 Polar Lights kit. It's basically the second pilot Enterprise with ISS (Imperial Star Ship) decals. The "sword thru the earth" insignia was never shown externally in the original "Mirror, Mirror" episode just internally on doorways; PL used a little artistic license placing the insignias on upper and lower surfaces as well as on the stern hangar bay. It works for me as these surfaces were never shown on TV. The stand was modified extensively for added stability and to depict the Enterprise in level flight.

Awesome work.

Personally, I would have loved it if you replaced the side arrowheads with the Terran Imperial Insignia (with the sword parallel to the ship's flight path, mind you,) given that the ship never really said "I.S.S." anyway. ;)

Interesting idea. Thing is, I was trying to stay true to the images shown on screen when the episode originally aired which didn't show the insignia in any of the side views as they were just reusing footage from the pilots.
Thanks for the comment !

Nice work! I never much cared for the gigantic bridge dome of the pre "Corbomite Maneuver" model, but nearly all the other details (especially the markings on the saucer) are faves of mine and I'm glad to see that this model was used as the basis of the ISS Enterprise model. :techman:
