Meaning things that are raised once and never brought up again.

I love the idea of the Slavers, and the concept of them subjugating the entire galaxy during Earth's prehistory, leading to a war so destructive that it essentially destroyed all intelligent life that already existed.

Another one; Armus mentions that the people who created it by shedding their evil became "creatures whose beauty now dazzles all who see them". Whether Armus' assessment is accurate or not, I love the idea that something deeply strange and transformative happened to the entire race when they physically forced out the "dark" aspects of themselves, and they became something unrecognisable.

They became the urRu?

DS9 was especially full of these world building, day in the life moments.

Like in "PLAYING GOD": Dax gives O'Brien a gift from Bashir, with a letter saying 'it worked in Hamlin'. It was a flute, due to the vole infestation DS9 is having. Love those humorous moments between characters. Makes the people feel alive and the place lived in and real.

Or how they describe aliens there, like Captain Boday... a Galamite, and how they have transparent skulls. (Which we finally get to see in LOWER DECKS.) Or the ambassadir arriving in "IMPROBABLE CAUSE" who breathes stuff so toxic to everyone else that it melts the carpet in quarters. They even can't see certain colors.

Love those little details!

Actually — in the Kelvinverse movies, “Kelvin pods” as a common (and obviously historically recent) term for escape pods.

If I'm not mistaken, "Kelvin pod" wasn't an interchangeable term for escape pod, rather a specific kind for bridge escape.

Either way, I liked it. :)
