Military fiction and action-adventure books BBS?

Don't mean to take away from TrekLit, but does anyone out there know of any military fiction (i.e. Tom Clancy, Dale Brown, et al) and/or post-World War III action-adventure (the Deathlands series, for example) BBS where such books, comics, RPGs, etc are currently being discussed?

I've seen a few BBS out there, such as Quiet Earth, but can't seem to find one where there is current discussion; seems like they rolled up the sidewalks and went home. It stands to reason that there are many Trek Lit readers who also read military fiction and action-adventure...can't believe I'm just an anomaly. Help a brother out?

This question also goes to the moderators as well as the published Trek authors, who probably have more extensive contacts and research than the average layman.

Thanks much for any nudges in the right direction.

The Baen Bar might be what you're looking for, a lot of their authors post preview chapters and what not over there, and some of them are quite active and open in various discussions over there.

Sadly the Bar has a clunky interface and seems to go down all the time, but I haven't visited it in some time, so it might be better now.

I know you're looking for one big BBS to discuss this stuff, but most well known authors/franchises have BBS's on their websites.

Well, I just looked for Tom Clancy's website and he apparently doesn't have one.

I used to participate in an author's BBS, but there has been no life in it for quite some time. Also, another author who I enjoy has had no updates on his website for nearly two years. I know people are still buying the books, because the publishers are still churning them out (including new reprints of the Ashes series by William Johnstone), but where are they?

I tried twice to look at the Baen Bar, but each time it was "closed for maintenance"...
