Mike Wallace Dies

the G-man

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
News broadcasting pioneer, '60 Minutes' reporter Mike Wallace dies at age 93: Wallace died Saturday night, CBS spokesman Kevin Tedesco said. On CBS' "Face the Nation," host Bob Schieffer said Wallace died at a care facility in New Haven, Conn., where he had lived in recent years.

I wonder how many political cartoonists have started sketching out the obligatory cartoon of him conducting a hard hitting interview of St. Peter at the Pearly Gates.

Mike Wallace was, in every way, a legend--a paragon of what broadcast journalism should be. Before Tim Russert (M.H.R.I.P.), there was Mike Wallace.

He is, of course, survived by his similarly tough, straghtforward and honest son, Chris--who has clearly inherited his father's interviewing prowess and stand-up-guy nature.

RIP, Mike Wallace

Chris Wallace can't hold a candle to his dad. Chris USED to be pretty good, but now he's just a Faux News partisan hack. Sold his soul to the scum at "Twisted and Unbalanced".

David Gregory (of "Meet The Press") said that one of the most surreal days of his life was when he got to work, and was told that there was a message from Mike Wallace waiting for him on his machine.

I probably would have had a strong drink before answering that message.

Your first comment about Mike Wallace is very true, however you must have taken a really big hit off the bong to come up with your statement about Mike's son Chris who is affiliated with one of the most propagandizing, fake news networks in U.S. history......you'd have to look outside the U.S. , to a news agency in Russia for instance, to find something as insidious...
Chris is an embarrassment to his father's memory!

Yeah, I'm sure Mike was completely scandalized by his son's three Emmy Awards, the Dupont-Columbia Silver Baton and Peabody Award.
I believe all of those happened before he drank the Koolaid at Faux News. Now, he's an embarassment to all real journalists everywhere.

From real news to manufacturing news. What a fucking comedown.
