Michael Myers has officially signed to do AP4

Sounds interesting. I loved the first Austin Powers, and while the other two aren't in the same league (IMO), they're still fun to watch. Plus, I mean, come on, Austin Powers: Goldmember has one of the best intros ever.

AP2 was always my favorite, but they're all good. Fat Bastard is just about the funniest character ever conceived.

I don't think he's ever gone by "Michael Myers". Isn't that the name of the guy from Halloween?

It will be interesting to see where this goes.

I liked the first two films, the third one was pretty bad until the end of the movie when they revealed Scott. I think that was my favourite part of the film. Michael Caine as Austin's dad was brilliant casting though.

I confess, I clicked on this thread thinking it was going to be about a new "Halloween" movie . . . .

Maybe they can combine Mike Myers with Michael Myers:

Halloween 2012: So I REALLY Married an Axe Murderer.

I actually like the second movie the best too. The opening of the third movie was really good other than that I didn't care for it. Hopefully the next one will be good!

We appear to have a consensus. :)

I loved the first movie.

The second one was utter crap.

The third one made me question my faith in humanity.

They just need to stop.

If the next one averts the largely downward spiral of the 3rd film and moves back towards the humor level of the 2nd one, I'll watch it. Otherwise...

The mere presence of Fat Bastard could, for me, be a mark against seeing it. Much less Goldmember.

Now if Scott's the primary antagonist, that could be fun.

I don't think he needs money BillJ I think he has gotten quite a chunk of change from voicing "Shrek" over the years.

THIS, THIS, THIS! As the years have gone by, outside of Shrek, Myers has abandoned any pretense of being creative. It's all about how gross he can possibly be in a vain search for laughs. FB made me want to heave. It went downhill from there.

Myers appears to be of that style of comedy that doesn't age well. I was hooked on the whole Wayne's World thing and the last time I saw the first movie I didn't laugh once. Dana Carvey hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire for decades either.....
