Michael Crichton dies of cancer

Such sad news. I've been a big fan of his since I read Jurassic Park when it came out in paperback. I couldn't put it down, and have found many of his books similarly gripping. I still have his latest--last unless he completed something before his death--novel, Next, to read. I might have to read that sooner rather than later.

Apparently, he had another novel finished and ready for publication when he fell ill.

He and Ray Bradbury are two of the few modern fictionists worth reading.
