Spoilers Metal Gear Survive

Solid Snack

Lieutenant Commander

Any thoughts on this? It's basically pretty much just Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, but with a new co-op mode, alternate dimensions and crystal zombies for some reason, and it stars some soldiers from MSF (The Peace Walker Outer Heaven mercs). It's also has no involvement from Kojima, who had to leave Konami shortly prior to Phantom Pain getting released.

Konami is also releasing a Pachislot game based on Metal Gear Solid III: Snake Eater, which nicely reanimates the game's cutscenes using MGSV's engines (although for some reason the Boss's resemblance to actress Charlotte Ramping seems to have been cut back big time, in the same way later MG rereleases also cut down on actor lookalikes).

While Metal Gear Solid V wasn't perfect, and not really a story that needed to be told (Peace Walker sort of explained more of how Big Boss started down a darker path and how he created Outer Heaven, so it would've made sense to just leave it there, and several MGS characters mentioned as being involved with Big Boss around this time-Naomi, Grey Fox, Wolf etc didn't even show up at all! All we really got was some more context for how Miller acted in the other games, and why Hal's father kind of lost it) the gameplay was pretty good, but of all the spinoffs ideas they could have used given the IP-The Boss and the cobra unit in WWII, Snake and Otacon taking on the Metal Gear derivatives as Philanthropy, or even remaking the earlier MSX/NES games...we got this.

Well that's putting it diplomatically.
