Men in Black / 21 Jumpstreet Crossover Announced.

I apologize if this has already been posted, but I did not find it when I did a search. Apparently Sony has announced an upcoming 21 Jump Street crossover with Men in Black. I thought the first article I saw mentioning this was a spoof, but I have found several more articles. Apparently the movie will spoof the current trend toward shared universes.

They are also planning a female spin-off as well.

Nice; this was a rumor so crazy I was hoping it'd come true. Now for the title... who wants to predict it? Jump Street Men in Black? Men in Black on Jump Street? Black Jump Streeters?

The ramification on the Jump Street series will be huge. No big deal for MIB merging with Jump Street, since I can imagine such a program existing on the police force in the MIB world.

But for the Jump Street universe? We're now being asked to believe that aliens have always existed. Try going back to the first two films and watching them with the notion that "yes, in this universe aliens are among us."

I realize I'm giving this more thought than it probably deserves, but hey I'm on a Star Trek board after all

I entered this thread all "WTF" and going off about what kind of drugs are making the rounds on Hollywood, but after reading that sentence I totally get it now and think this might just be the best idea ever. And I don't even care for 21 Jump Street.
