I just saw the trailers for this new DreamWorks project coming soon. Could be fun... http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/dreamworks/megamind/

This movie sounded much more interesting when it was supposed to be about a supervillain who kills his superhero nemesis and subsequently has to find new meaning in life. It seems they have moved away from that premise.
Has anyone involved in the production said that they've moved away from that premise, or are you basing that on the most recent trailers?

The most recent trailer seems to suggest that the hero might have faked his death, but it follows the same basic premise of Megamind eventually having to assume the role of reluctant hero.
I'm cautiously optimistic about this one. The first trailer "what if the bad guy won" was great, this latest trailer makes it seem more generic. Will likely wait and put it on my Netflix queue.
