Being Joey Carmichael

Visions of a charming hit man, responsible for the death of a local drug dealer, lead Alison and Scanlon to a severely impaired man (Miguel Ferrer) with a bullet lodged in his brain.

Average although it's always good to see Miguel Ferrer. Meghan is definitely up to something No Good. After her talk with Joe it was totally inappropriate to send him that expensive robe. I think Joe's being set up.

We haven't seen ghosts pop up and shoot the breeze with Allison for a while so I enjoyed that too - especially when Bad Twin winked at her from the TV set after taking over Good Twin's body for a "long nap." Brrr.

I agree, average. Poor Joe, he is definitely being set up! I love the continuation of the glasses.

Dammit, I didn't get a chance to watch last night. I'll be back later. Thank God for DVRs!! :bolian:

I love the continuation of the glasses.
Yeah, that's cute. I wonder if the little actress needed glasses in real life so they wrote it into the show. Or maybe this happened with the real Allison's daughter, so they wrote it in.

And yeah, poor Joe. Things seemed to be taking an upswing after Meghan connected with the investor, but then the robe thing came out of the blue and pretty much foreshadowed dark times ahead!

Above Average for Miguel's appearance in the show. I felt bad for Joey (making matters worse a person I know with a similar handicap passed away only hours before the episode started so it was pretty hard to watch).

I don't believe that Joey went and shot that guy without Teddy's influence. Joey didn't seem capable of holding a gun, much less managing its recoil well enough to fire it five times in a row.

On the home front, I'm pretty frustrated with both Joe & Allison. Allison got up on her high horse with Joe for not telling her about Meghan's behavior, but Allison failed to tell Joe about her dream, instead holding it back for what - some kind of test of Joe's faithfulness? She should have warned him that she'd had a dream that put Meghan in a bad light. And yes, Joe should have told Allison as soon as Meghan made a move on him.

This part of the story is making me sad. Joe & Allison's relationship is part of what makes the show warm and enjoyable to me. I hate seeing them struggle, even if it is realistic to some extent and dramatically sound. :p I want my loving relationship comfort food! ;)

This episode reminded me of two other shows I enjoyed.

1. Paranoia Agent - A psychological thriller anime series. One of the episodes features a woman suffering from multiple personalities. These personalities coexist by leaving messages on an answering machine.

2.Jekyll - An update of the classic story set in the 21st century. Jekyll and Hyde communicate with each other through tape recorded messages.

I must agree with what the above poster said about shaking up our happy couple. Allison and Joe are one of my favorite couples on TV. Do not screw with them. Thankfully Joss Whedon is not working on this show.

Realistically, I agree that Joey could not have shot that man. But from a dramatic standpoint, I like the idea that he did. I also like the idea that the other brother would take over while Joey was in prison. It was nice to see him still trying to look out for his little brother. Of course, that could just be the big brother in me talking.

Well - maybe helping the situation - I believe the real Allison and Joe are still together.
