Maurice White 1941-2016

Very sorry to hear that a brilliant singer, songwriter, bandleader, producer, arranger and true musical genius has died. If you're not familiar with Earth, Wind and Fire, take it from me, it's good for what ails you.

2016 continues to be a year to forget.

 

The man had one hell of voice.

 

RIP Mr. White and thanks for the music.

 

Saw EWF when I was in college before they were superstars. Great band, great concept, great sound. From Verdine's steady energetic bottom, to Phillip Bailey's soaring falsetto, to the spritual and evocative lyrics, it was all Maurice's vision.

Head to the sky, always. RIP.
