... Timely's 75th in 2014?

I think Marvel should embrace their roots. After all, the Sub-Mariner, the Human Torch, Captain America, these heroes all started in the Golden Age Timely Comics. Hell, Timely's first comic was CALLED "Marvel Comics".

I agree with celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the "Marvel Universe", I guess, but Marvel didn't pop into existence in 1961!

They celebrated Timely's 70th a little bit, so maybe they'll do something.

What's really bizarre is that so far they seem to have pretty much ignored the FF's 50th on Monday. Hopefully the Hulk and Spidey will be honoured for their respective 50ths next year, what with being big-shot movie stars and all.

There's a re-release of FF #1 with new artwork, I think, (unless i misread what I was reading). But yeah, I haven't seen anything advertised about the anniversary much.

Maybe they no longer consider 1961 to be the foundational year, but rather 1939 (as I think it should be).
