A beaker full of death

Marvel Entertainment is launching a TV division, Marvel Television, and has appointed Heroes and Smallville writer-producer Jeph Loeb to run it. As EVP and head of television, Loeb will work alongside Dan Buckley, publisher & president of the print, animation & digital divisions of Marvel Worldwide to adapt Marvel characters and stories to television as both live-action and animation series. Additionally, Loeb will oversee the development and distribution of live-action, animated and direct-to-DVD series. Loeb was previously a Marvel-exclusive comic book writer and also did a stint on Lost. Marvel's rival DC Comics has built a primetime presence through its deal at Warner Bros. TV that has spawned such series as Smallville and Human Target.

There's already another thread on this like right below this one, well it was right below before I came in here to type this.

Of course, that thread seems to be about nothing more than how shitty Loeb is. Maybe this one could be used to describe what properties people would like to see developed.

I'd like to see Heroes the way it should have been, not the crap we got. That goes for any superhero type story on TV.

I didn't much care for the episodes Loeb was involved in, but was he involved in the whole run of Heroes? Not sure he was any better or worse than anyone else involved in that trainwreck.

Please dear god not another Spider-Man nor X-Men cartoon.

They're always, usually, sometimes, what the hell was that Spidey one set on counter Earth ruled over by the High Evolutionary smoking? But it's just the constant reboots which are exhausting.

I'd love to see an adult swim like rendition of Next Wave.

Nextwave would be awesome but I'd want it to have fluid animation. Maybe Ellis would even take part in it since he did that GI Joe Resolute project.

And then there's a brand new division that we'll do with live action, where we're working in partnership with ABC and ABC Family to find the right properties, the right characters and develop them. To start, we will be exploring the one-hour drama field similar to the shows that I mentioned that I've worked on, like Smallvillle and Lost.
:wtf:

Yep, that really narrows things down.

His goal is

To be able to have a show that has worldwide impact of something like Lost.
The guy who can't tell the difference between Lost and Smallville will certainly accomplish what so many networks have tried that and failed.

However I'm willing to change my tune for a Dr. Strange tv series starring Adrian Pasdar! :bolian:

Doctor Voodoo is the Sorcerer Supreme these days on 616... Which could be a stronger niche market, though I was so flusehed with Joy the time on leverage when they were doing conjob with Magicians and Ford's lovely assistant (The hopelessly awkward Parker) was named "Clea".

That interview is awesome, every response is "I just got here, I don't know" or "I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you".

Doctor Voodoo is the Sorcerer Supreme these days on 616

Sometimes I'm glad I haven't read comics in a while.

I haven't read X-Factor for a while but the mutant detective agency might work for TV. I have no idea if that is where the series is currently at. Maybe Heroes For Hire? (or Daughters of the Dragon?) I'm so out of touch I have no idea if any of these properties are still viable.

Wasn't there talk of a Runaways tv series a while back?

According to wiki they're trying to develop it for film. Which makes sense I think because from what I remember it would be hard to develop for TV (dinosaur, mechs, the lesbian alien who turns into light, etc...).

There was also talk of a Moon Knight TV series any news of that happening?

As I've stated before an Iron Man series taking place after the second movie, and prior to the Avengers movie could work with Chris H guest-starring as Thor after the Thor movie makes lots of money at the box office.
An Dr.Strange TV series could work with today's digital effects, and have both Namor,Clea visit the good Dr every week.
Iron Fist would be too close to Kung Fu for people to separate both series being that both characters use martial arts.
Capt.Mar-vel could be similar to Shazam TV series in terms of traveling the highways and byways saving people every week Rick Jones slaps his wrists together trading spaces with Capt.Mar-vel to do battle with villians that want the Nega-Bands for themselves.
That's all I can think of for now my brain is fried, and tired
Good night all.

You know what the ultimate spinon a Moonknight show would be?

You got Konshu. That Egyptian Moongod. Sharing his body, thinking about taking over. Saying this and that about divinity and awsome power but... In the last episode Jack O'Niel shows up to Kill the G'ould infesting Moonknight.

Surprise cross over. ;)

My signature is from the TV show Psych. The people who write for psyche are about the only people this side of Wheedon who could write a Deadpool TV series. Verbal Diarrhoea. Maybe the Gilmore Girls people?
