I just finished watching Hawkeye as part of my Daredevil/Kingpin Character Marathon, but now I'm wishing that I'd known to add/thought about adding Black Widow to said Marathon, not only to get more Yelena, but also because of Val and her connections to Kingpin and the off-camera role she had in Eleanor's on-camera villainy in Hawkeye.

I could add it now post-Hawkeye and pre-Echo, but then I'm throwing off the narrative flow of things.

Well, that's unfortunate but think of it this way -- Black Widow will fit in much more naturally when you have your rewatch leading up to Doomsday as it is much more essential in the arc leading to the creation of the New Avengers.

I will never again watch anything in the MCU 'en masse', so if I do ever end up rewatching Black Widow, it'll likely end up being paired with Thunderbolts/The New Avengers.

It just would've fit so well into the Marathon I'm already doing that it makes me sad that I didn't know to include it.

Oh well. All I can do is move on, and I will... to Echo.

Brief, understandably light on detail update about progress on the MCU X-Men:

According to Brad Winderbaum during his visit on The Escape Pod, She-Hulk was one of Marvel's best performing shows (quote courtesy of io9):

“I’ll tell you this about She-Hulk,” he said. “That’s one of our best-performing shows. It just hit the general audience. So there was a mismatch between fan response and audience response.”

“I would love the opportunity to make more She-Hulk,” he said. “Honestly. Hopefully one day. Maybe.”

Very cool and honestly not surprising as it wasn't exactly a secret that the show went over budget. And even at the time in the season finale itself they were making jokes about the VFX budget

And regarding the audience, it was probably the last MCU Disney+ show that really broke through with a mainstream audience. The show generated a lot of talk about how it reflected the lives of contemporary women in the workplace and was discussed on network television, radio, and traditional news.
