Mark Strickson is a Scrooge!

Ha! I watched my fave version of A Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve (the 1984 version with George C. Scott & David Warner), and I was pleasantly surprised to see that Mark Strickson played the young Ebenezer Scrooge. I only just noticed this, because on many previous viewings I wasn't really familiar with the Doctor Who actor, but having watched a good chunk of 5th Doctor episodes earlier this year, I immediately thought, Hey, that's Turlough! :D

It's entirely possible. Of course, it would be buried under all those layers of Victorian-era garb.

For me it was the reverse; the George C. Scott version of A Christmas Carol has been an annual holiday TV ritual in my family, long before I'd ever even heard of Doctor Who. So when "young Scrooge" popped up in a rerun of "Mawdryn Undead," I thought that was really awesome.
