Didn't they do that plot on Lois & Clark?

Not really. The Lois of LnC became Ultrawoman for an episode after Clark's powers got transferred to her. Smallville's Lois merely stops a mugger by hitting him over the head with her shoe before deciding to dress up as a superhero so she can write about herself and draw out the RBB.

I knew about the Stilleto thing which seems a little lame but according to Smallville Wiki it is how Lois does find out about Clark being the Red-Blue Blurr around episode 18 or 19. Not sure if that will actually happen...so Chloe is going to be harboring Doomsday...that doesn't seem like a good thing.
