Make an alien

Ok. Make up an alien, any alien, that you think would be cool to have been a part of the star trek universe.





-An alien with multiple limbs. Perhaps, more specifically, with four arms and and four legs- call them the Vitruvians.

-aliens evolved from rocks. Yes, rocks. Their planet: a super-hot mass of lava and metal. Don't ask me to work out the physics and chemistry of that.

-aliens that inhabit the moons of Jupiter.

-or, better yet, aliens that live inside a gas planet and are shaped like lithe, wormy, gassy things with fins for moving around.

-aliens involved from plants. Let's say orchids and call them Orkidians. Their planet is complete opposite of ours, with a CO2 atmosphere and fleshy globules that breath the oxygen and grow hair. They run their ships on solar energy.


Alright, your turn!

And you don't nessecarily have to let physics or whatever get in the way; this is star trek, afterall.

I HIGHLY recommend Diane Duane's books, and the Titan series, if you'd like to see some really creative Trekiverse aliens. Not canon stuff, but something tells me you'll like it.

John Paul Lona was the winner of Playmates' "Design-an-Alien" contest, back in the day when that company held the ST action figures license. For his prize, John got to be an extra on DS9 ("The Muse") wearing the alien mask and - thanks to the costume guys - the rest of the outfit, which they got him to complete as new sketches. And Ambassador Runepp of Rasiinia was born.

Whne I saw Playnates Desing-an_Alien...I'm thinking Playboy Playmates. I was thinking...sheesh...Didn't we have a triple-breasted catwoman in Star Trek V!

I remember that contest. I was pretty young reading about it. But I remember sitting in church and reading the little information thing. I never entered, probably because I was too young.
