Mad leaders - can you name them all? [minor spoilers]

I suppose there's the risk of minor spoilers in this thread, so be warned!

I've recently been re-reading Beneath the Raptor's Wing and reading Seize the Fire. I've run across a number of "mad" leaders being mentioned. I thought it'd be fun to name all the insane leaders from Trek Lit! :rommie:

I don't know if it's fair to list mirror universe characters, so for now, let's stick to the regular timeline (abramsverse is ok).

I'll start:

The mad Praetor D'deridex (Romulan) - Beneath the Raptor's Wing

The mad Prime Minister Kinchawn (Tezwan) - A Time to Kill; Seize the Fire (mention)

The mad First Myrmidon Gog'resssh (Gorn) - Seize the Fire

Captain Norman Kenyon (human) - Once Burned

Khan Noonian Singh (human augment) - To Reign in Hell

Col. Mitra (Bajoran) - The 34th Rule

Come to think of it, Michael A. Martin has a thing for "mad" leaders - lol.

Mad leaders? Let's see... William Gaines, Harvey Kurtzman, Wally Wood, Will Elder... :D

I'm tempted to list Dovraku from Ex Machina, but I'm not sure if religious fanaticism qualifies as a recognized mental illness. He was certainly a clinical narcissist and a sociopath.

Ruling Queen T'Rehu? I'm not sure if she truly qualifies - maybe she was just very ruthless and power-hungry, but I guess she might fit. Maybe...

Dukat? (He certainly seemed to be on his way in Day of the Vipers)

The true Illina Ghemor (AKA, The Fire)

and not forgetting the Praetor Dralath himself. Boy those Romulans sure where unlucky with their leaders...

Adrik Thorsen, the leader of the Optimum Movement in Federation. That man really did not like Zefram Cochrane one bit.

Does Guinan's "soul sister" Delcara count? She was more of a Borg Queen-like embodiment/slave of "the many" (was that what they were called?) rather than their leader. But she was quite mad.

Thorsen is a great example.

Delcara spoke for the many, so I'll grant her honorary leader status.

Make sure y'all include the tales the nutters are from.

Lodec, the mad Speaker of the Danteri from Being Human/Gods Above

Fhermus, of the Nelkarites from After the Fall

Laheera, mad leader of the Nelkarites from The Two-Front War

Morjod from Left hand of destiny and his mother Gothmara.

not forgetting Sedin of the Caeliar (Destiny)...

I wouldn't call Sedin a leader, just a survivor. And what ended up becoming a "leader" of sorts was not Sedin anymore.

Most Starfleet admirals are more jerks or hidebound fools than lunatics, really. It's the "other" captains who tend to go mad -- Decker, Tracy, Garth.

The mad First Myrmidon Gog'resssh (Gorn) - Seize the Fire

"First Myrmidon?" Curious. Destiny: Mere Mortals established that the Gorn leader is called the Imperator. (Unless the Imperator is a sort of apolitical head of state and the First Myrmidon is a sort of prime minister?)

First Myrmidon Gog'ressh wasn't a head of state or any sort of governmental figure; he was just a soldier who went insane from radiation poisoning and took over a Gorn ship.

Oooh, okay.

Given that "myrmidon" is generally used to mean a blindly obedient soldier or drone, I would've been surprised to see it used as a title for a ruler of some sort.
