The original Steve Trevor died at 84.

Damn.. Great straight man who also had great comedic timing. And went on to be a powerhouse in catering to stars with his Starwaggons. RIP.

This bums me right the fuck out. I loved the Wonder Woman series (especially the splendid first season), and Waggoner's fine chemistry with Carter was always a pleasure. RIP, good sir.
Stuart Whitman also passed on at age 92.

For fantasy fans he's probably best remembered for the Irwin Allen TV movie/unsold pilot, City Beneath the Sea (1971), and two episodes from the third season of Rod Serling's Night Gallery ("Lindeman's Catch" and "Fright Night").
He was also Jonathan Kent in the syndicated Superboy TV series, a show I adore despite its objective terribleness. RIP to Mr. Whitman as well.

Aw, this is sad to hear. He was always great on The Carol Burnett Show and perfect as a comic-book hero on Wonder Woman. His superhuman hunkiness was nicely complemented by his aura of graciousness.

RIP, Lyle Waggoner. :(

He did an episode of "Lost in Space", playing an android. I did a double-take. He's definitely a lot more memorable as the definitive Steve Trevor. ABC's "Wonder Woman" was truer to the WW2 origins, but that first CBS season was pretty good too. He also battled Mork from Ork in an episode of "Mork & Mindy", and his appearance in a certain magazine is definitely unforgettable.

Lyle Waggoner was a memorable colleague and co-star, but he was also a friend. His kindness meant the world to me when I was very young and just starting my career. Lyle and I last spoke in 2018 and I’m so glad we had the chance to catch up. We talked about how lucky we both were to be surrounded by such wonderful family and friends. I will miss you, Lyle.

I liked him in wonder woman.
So did I. I was disappointed to hear that if the show had gone to a fourth season Trevor would have been dropped. That last two part episode at the end of season three showcased what would have been the new format in Los Angeles and the new characters. Suffice it to say, that was not one of my favorite episodes.

I also remember him from his Batman (1966) audition video. I'm lucky enough to own a copy.
