I was just listening to online radio when I heard the Star Trek TOS theme song in a cool bossa nova or samba jazz beat. For anyone who's interested:

I've heard a VERY cool version of the TOS theme on Michael Feldman's "What Do You Know" show on Public Radio. John Thulin leads the band, plays piano and did the arrangement.
