It's a passable comedy if you've never seen lost.

I think it's filmed on the same beachfront as Lost?

If you have seen Lost, this is what Lost would have been like without the Smoke Monster, time travel and Others.

Rhys Darby is in everything!!!

Finished episode 6 this afternoon.

Wrecked is totally a lost parody, and the press I googled while starting this thread clearly said that they were making fun of Lost in the best possible taste.

Perfect timing for a Lost parody. :rommie:

I wonder if the series finale will have them all waking up in Heaven.

I just discovered this show myself and watched the first three episodes on VOD. It's cute. I love that it's a straight up LOST parody.

Wasn't Lost just a dramatic version of Gilligan's Island?

I was going to say no, instead Lost is...but I'm at a loss for words to describe it. Lost is it's own thing, drama and scifi and philosophy all wrapped into one. Great characters.

I'll check out Wrecked, I hadn't heard of it since I don't get cable anymore.

Think what you want, I'll just say after that finale it was a long time before I could watch the DVDs again.

I think this idea that the poor last season somehow retroactively ruined the awesome first five is ridiculous.
I don't.

All along, they were saying we know where it's going and it's great. We carried on buying into it even when realisation dawned that there just simply wasn't a satisfying resolution. It was not possible.

'Trust us, there is !' they said, making us think that they had something fantastic, beyond our limited imagination coming.

There wasn't.

LOST was an absolutely amazing show for the first five seasons. I was really disappointed with the final season on a lot of levels, but it DID explain the big mysteries by the end of it, so I don't have a complaint on that level. I haven't watched the show since it ended but I'm looking forward to it.

I wasn't even disappointed with the final season. Just the final episode (maybe even just the ending of the final episode). There were several things they could have done that would have been less of a let down.

I'm really enjoying "WRECKED". I still recall the episode with the suitcase, because it reminded me of that crappy Season One episode from "LOST" called "Whatever the Case May Be".

Don't get me wrong. I'm a fan of "LOST". But l do believe that its writing was far from perfect. No wonder it was ripe for being parodied.
