LOST in Your Everyday Life?

Python Trek

Has LOST crept into your everyday language? For me and a few friends, it has. When we have some drudgery to do at work, we say, "Gotta go push the button, or the island will blow up!", and we say "dude", alot, in honor of Hugo. :) Also, my friends say I do a pretty good "crying Jack" impression: <nasal whine, choking back tears> "We have to go back, Kate!".

Me and my buddies used to say "Let's look death in the face and say 'Whatever, man!'" whenever we were about to embark on one questionable enterprise or another.

The main way the show's influenced my life on a day-to-day basis, though, is that my girlfriend's a bit of a Lost Widow. She enjoyed the show too but not nearly as obsessively as me. I think she's glad it's over.

I always say "Son of a bitch!" like Sawyer when I get mad or annoyed (I don't say it directly to anyone in particular, though; well, maybe bad drivers).

When I'm bored at my desk or feeling overwhelmed with a lot of work, I just "flash sideways" to my other reality where I'm a megamillionaire who won the lottery.
