Don't know if any one is interested but I think this is cool

Film preservationists said Wednesday they've found the first half of the earliest known surviving feature film on which Hitchcock has a credit: a silent melodrama called "The White Shadow."
The first three reels of the six-reel film, made in 1923, were discovered by the National Film Preservation Foundation at the New Zealand Film Archive.

Thanks for posting. It is always great news to hear of a "lost film" being found. So many of the silent films are gone.

As cool as this is, it's also very frustrating that they only found the first half. I'd be afraid to watch it because I'd be frustrated not to see the ending.

And I think there's already a thread about this in TV/Media.

To me that doesn't matter, I almost never venture out of SciFi General Board* (+Dr. Who, BSG, SG), so, I never would've known if Yminale hadn't brought the news here. Hitchcock is very SF/F relevant a large percentage of the time.

*If I do venture out, it's to look at the JJ Trek-Verse Movie progress.

As I said in the other thread, I'm thrilled by this news because I'm a huge fan of Hitchcock and I can't wait to see it despite being incomplete.

Darn, I thought it was going to be about The White Shadow, the classic 80's tv show. :)
Seriously, this is pretty cool.
