Lost books? (print or online)

During hiatus s4-s5 i rewatched the series looking for more layers. During hiatus s5-s6, i was hoping to do some reading. I haven't been too jazzed by the books in print about Lost. I'm not interested in the "philosophy of..." or "behind the scenes..." books. I'm looking for something with a decent synopsis and some sort of detailed analysis.

I took a chance & purchased Nikki Stafford's books - but I have to admit her writing style leaves me cold (not a fan of her Buffy books either) and, as I am only reading about S2 right now - she's not good at giving a decent episode synopsis. Although I appreciate Lostpedia and similar sources, I was hoping for some more entertaining ideas.

(I consider the Buffy guide "Dusted" and the Angel guide "Redeemed" to be the best of the bunch. Insightful + laugh-out-loud snarky.)

Yah, Bad Twin was pretty good as a novel. Some interesting stuff that involves the fringes of Lost (Hanso Foundation, etc...).

I know Lindelof and Cuse aren't all that fond of the Bad Twin novel, though.

I'd just read through lostpedia. That will certainly give you a crap load of info.

I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for, but I've seen a making of book, but i think it was only for the first season.
There was also a fiction book I saw at the used bookstore called "Endangered Species" that was about some made up secondary character. I think the book was 2 or 3 year sold.

thanx 2 all-
guess it's back to lostpedia...

(and nikki stafford's finding lost s5 comes out in november.)
