Looks like I'm getting a CT Angiogram

Some of you may remember that, after taking the Bar last year, my doctor sent me to a cardiologist. EKGs and sonogram okay, but I've had continuing but intermittent chest pains, blood pressure that still won't come under control without increasing med levels, and a cholesteroal total that went from 157 to 217 in FIVE months. So my cardiologist scheduled me for a CT Angiogram.

This Wednesday, Hubby is driving us from Fresno to Frisco aka San Francisco aka San Pancho. The test is Thursday before noon. If all goes well, they'll just tell me to lose weight, exercise, etc--what I'm trying to do.

My thyroid problems are still not quite under control, and my vitamin D level is so low that the doctor told me to buy some on my way home from his office that day. Well, it's winter, I'm white, and with a family history of skin cancer, I'm rarely in the sun without covering up. Taking the vitamin D seems to be helping ease my excessive sleepiness.

I'm tired of being tired, of sitting watching tv and suddenly something twingey-hurts, and of being able to describe SEVEN distinct chest pains.

Here's hoping things look better in 2010, right?

Nah, some medical center on Sacramento, across from the Embarcadero Center.

We got a room at the other end of the California cable car line. A cheap (hopefully only as in inexpensive) place that includes parking--which is usually at least $40/day there. It's gotten pretty decent reviews on expedia, many decent reviews, and not all for price. Not the Marriott, naturally. If it's a good place, I'll post its name and recommend it.

I'm a little concerned. I've been having general chest aches for most of the past few days.

I'd say that's a perfectly good reason for being concerned, and a good reason for getting it checked out.

Good luck, propita. I hope they can finally get this thing pinned down and find a nice, easy and effective treatment. :)
