I was wondering if someone here could help me in finding a couple of films that I've seen, but don't remember the titles or the names of the actors who starred in them. All I can say is that they both appeared to have been made in the late 1990s.
The first is about a lawyer who is contacted one day by a man claiming to be an assassin whom his wife has hired to kill him. The lawyer later meets the hitman, but the hitman gets shot and killed (forget by who) before he can reveal anything else. Later on, the lawyer's wife is found murdered. It's eventually revealed that the killer is a police detective with a grudge against the lawyer for fouling up a case involving his son who'd been badly crippled in an accident. The climax has the lawyer rescuing his young son, who has been trapped in a car on a railway line by the vengeful detective, about to be hit by a train. I'm afraid that's all I can really remember.
The second is one that I only got to see a little bit of. It involves a man who goes to a high-class hotel one night and meets a beautiful woman, who turns out to be a prostitute. They spend the night together, and when he drops her off the next day after paying her, she gives the money to a young boy in the street. The man goes back to the hotel a number of times looking for her, but doesn't find her, and begins to grow depressed. Sadly, that's all I remember about it. I remember thinking that the lead actress bore some resemblance to Terry Farrell, but I doubt it was her.
Any help anybody can give me in locating these films will be very much appreciated. Thanks!
