Def Leppard - "Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad"
Bad English - "Price of Love" and "When I See You Smile"
Firehouse - "Love of a Lifetime" and "When I Look Into Your Eyes"
Warrant - "Heaven"
There are a lot of these songs from the late 80s and early 90s, by a lot of bands that no longer exist. But I don't know if you're looking for this kind of rock/metal or if you want something harder.
Nelson might be too "pop."
How about Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" from Armageddon?
Bon Jovi has quite a few songs like this.
