Looking for a quote

I've writing an essay in social sciences, and for the death of me, I cant remember a quote and who said it.

It goes something along the lines of: "The language of violence makes the world go deaf." or something similar.

Anyone have any idea what the hell I'm talking about?

Nah, That's not it. I distinctly remember the deaf part.

Although, that quote conveys the same thing. Ta, anyway.

It could be the Martin Luther King Jr. one, and I know this one 2 different ways, and I'm not sure which is correct
