Eh, Look in the other thread about tis exact same topic. There is a third red laser tucked in the command pod, shooting out of the deflector.

That's not even the deflector, that's the Torpedo launcher guys, most Klingon ships have them placed right where it is, they are not federation ships, it was always meant to be a weapons pod, even in TOS! In TOS that's where they launched the Plasma torpedoes, a devastating weapon outlawed because of it's raw power...
