Lock-Out looks awesome! (teaser)

This is the first I've heard of this flick, but it has suddenly jumped up onto my must-see list for 2012!

I like the Pearce/Stormare scene. Not sure where the sf trappings fit in yet, but I'll be there if the reviews are at least okay.

Other than Guy Pearce's snark in the one scene, I don't see much interesting going for it. I'll wait to hear what the actual plot is before I decide.

 

Plot sounds kinda cool. Worth a look.

The interrogation scene doesn't really seem to fit in with the shiny space opera stuff, but I'm definitely intigued. Those Luc Besson-produced action flicks are rarely great, but always entertaining.

 

I have no idea what the President's daughter is doing in an outer-space prison.

 

Meh, that does nothing for me.

 

Wait, so its Escape from L.A.? I'll wait for the reviews.

 

Well, let's hope it's more Escape from New York than Escape from L.A....

I agree that the interrogation scene seems to be cut from a different film, but hopefully the SF elements will be nicely blended in.

"Space" based SF movies are so rare I'd give just about any one a viewing. This one looks entertaining at least.

RAMA

 

IIRC, Kurt Russell and John Carpenter planned to set the third Escape From... movie in space (Escape from Earth?). This does sound a bit like it, but I guess it's all in the execution.

 

According to Deadline.com this is no longer titled Lock-Out. Instead, it's "Escape From M.S. One."

Release date is April 20th.

^ They should just CGI an eyepiece onto the lead character and be done with it.

I can't wait for this one.

 

Like last week's report by Deadline.com, io9's piece today suggests it will be titled "Escape From M.S. One" in the States.
