When I saw the original Night of The Living Dead, I was totally freaked out. There was just something about it that made it feel real. The living deads in that movie were brought back to life by space radiation, which gave it a scifi angle, and a ‘hey, why not’ aspect as well.
But now? Living Deads are no longer scary, they are the butt of jokes. This new movie about hunting zombies looks good, but will further decay the once lofty spot that Living Deads held in the echelon of movie horror….
Someone needs to make a real kick ass scary zombie movie. 28 days came close, but fell short….perhaps it can not be done? Perhaps Vampires will forever, since they are zombies in a strange way, be the #1…but damn..I miss my scary zombies!!!
