I've just wathced the *leaked* pilot... It's quite good.
Is it true they are refilming it with some changes? Including changing Colm Meany to somebody else? Is it true? I mean COME ON! Please somebody tell me it's not true - otherwise I may have to cross out this show from my "what to watch this year" list...

I thought this was the one of the worst shows I'd ever seen - and I love the original British version!

Not one ounch of originality in the entire thing - hell, it was almost a scene for scene, shot for shot remake - not a single thing to differentiate it from the original. Very poor in my opinion.

Add to that the complete lack of charisma from the 'new' Sam Tyler - can't be bothered remembering the actor's name. And Colm? What a waste. Love the guy, but in this he sucked.

If they want to succeed, they're going to have to seriously retool the entire thing.

The new lead doesn't even reach John Simm's brilliant frenzy. The girl is better though...
The editing is slightly more modern, but in the end it's truly nothing but a shallow copy... true... still... without Colm Meany, I'll just watch the original from start to end - if I can get used to the londoner accent...

I like two actors from the pilot, and they recast BOTH of them? seriously...

And the new series didn't have Uriah Heep music in it anyways...

Try and watch the original. The original is awesome.

Will be interesting to see how it goes.

I think their plan is to do it like The Office. Start the show off the same then grow it differently.

I just finished the original "Life on Mars" not too long ago. I can tell already that this will SUCK so terribly.
