"Life On Mars" (the American version)

Anybody see this show yet? I absolutely love it. I love some of the more ribald aspects of the humor as well ("no nuts").

I think it's a totally awesome show. I hope it lasts for years and years. (And no, I've never seen the UK version, nor do I really want to now)

I love the US version too. However I am also a big fan of the original version. In fact, the UK version of Gene Hunt is even better than Keitel's. Check it out.

I love that the cops drive a 1972 Dodge Coronet. My family had the exact same car, and olive drab green too!

The show is great fun. I've caught it every week so far.

You know, I had been intending to watch this, but I keep forgetting to watch it every week. At first I wasn't too worried since the bad production problems they were having seemed to guarantee that I could watch the complete series on DVD by spring 09. But now, people seem to be liking it, so I might have to remember to catch it one of these weeks.

Really enjoying the show. Harvey Keitel and Michael Imperioli are just great. I wish they'd gotten a better actor to ply the lead though. The guy isn't bad, he's just not great and he certainly doesn't appear to be on the same level as the two aforementioned actors.

If a small cable show can come up with a brilliant actor like Brian Cranston, why can't a much better funded network show?

But I'm still enjoying it so far. I'de be interested in hearing from Brits about the differences in the two shows.

Its my new favorite show. I like a lot of others but this keeps grabbing me-and the soundtrack is awesome. The actors are great and the weird little snippets in each episode keep stringing me along. Like the dang robot the other week-I just sat there going, "WTF?"

Good but not "neat"! Severely lacks the awesomeness that Philip Glenister is!
I enjoy the soundtrack, though.

Phil Glenister is the man! Check out "Ashes to Ashes" if you can. I've only watched the first 4 eps. so far, but the Gene Genie is back. (plus Chris and Ray)

I read that they offered the leads to both John Simm and Phil Glenister to both reprise their roles for the American version. Both turned it down sadly. Not because they didn't want to. But because shooting in America would keep them away from their families for way to long.
