This ought to be an interesting episode. Love the show.

Re: Life on Mars: "Let All the Children Boggle" 2/11 - Grading, Discus

So, I think this is the end of the hippy girl.
I also think this is probably the end of any of the "mystery" stuff until the season cliffhanger. Hopefully the show will get renewed, because that'd be a pain in the ass if the show just ended.

Another great episode. I was happy to see that Chris (Jonathan Murray) had more screen time today! yea! I was sadden to see how the Rockstar died, but I was amused when Hunt found the pen at the end. Can't wait to see how the writers play his reaction out.

Some great music again. You're right, firehawk, if they canceled it without ending it, I agree that it would suck. I would pissed if ABC did that. I really hope that it does get renewed.

Next week's episode looks interesting again..wonder who dies in the 125. Oh, I voted Above Average for this week's episode..there were a few good laughs this week.

I gave it Above Average. I don't think Hippie Girl is gone. I bet she makes a return later this season. Gene Hunt's daughter is hella hot, and I love how Sam reacts to Hunt's snarky comments about how some guys treat women.

Gretchen Mol is absolutely adorable.

Rocket Girl was hot. And Wallace Shawn ran the X-Files in the 70's? Inconceivable!

Re: Life on Mars: "Let All the Children Boggle" 2/11 - Grading, Discus

I think the only way Hippie Girl comes back is if she's somehow there to contact him from "the real world" or "the future" or well, the only other place that makes sense given the UK series and what happened last week.

It's just kind of awkward that they basically forgot the character, considering she was all over him before the break happened.

Re: Life on Mars: "Let All the Children Boggle" 2/11 - Grading, Discus

I was expecting Sam to call the Wallace Shawn character Mulder.

Re: Life on Mars: "Let All the Children Boggle" 2/11 - Grading, Discus

I was expecting Sam to call the Wallace Shawn character Mulder.

I wasn't expecting them to take it that far, but I was waiting for them to open the door of the guy's office to see if it looked the Mulder's office.

Sadly, it did not. :p

Ah well, I guess they took it as far as they could without copyright infringement on FOX. "The Sorcerer" instead of "Spooky"....and the fact that he worked for the FBI and was the entire paranormal division, all on his own. For any X-Files fan, it was hard to miss the hint.

Anyway, I gave this one an "above average", mostly because of the conversation between Annie and the rock star guy while he was in holding. That was a great scene.

Also, a great ending with daddy finding the pen in the file room. Oh-oh!

Re: Life on Mars: "Let All the Children Boggle" 2/11 - Grading, Discus

This was my least favorite episode of all. I am definitely not a fan of this glam rock crap, so that definitely turned me off a bit. And does Wallace Shawn play the exact same character in every fracking show he's in, or what? (At least on DS9 he was a different *species*...)

That last scene with Sam and Chris, though, really got me thinking. Chris seems to know more than he's letting on. Maybe he's just naturally gullible and thus believes anything Sam says (including the time travel story) but when Chris gave Sam that St. Christopher medal, I couldn't help but wonder.

And Maria is indeed teh hotness, unnaturally large eyebrows notwithstanding. I doubt Gene will care that much about her and Sam though. Why would Gene care about who his daughter bonks if they're that estranged? He already knew it's Sam...

Re: Life on Mars: "Let All the Children Boggle" 2/11 - Grading, Discus

The previous episode they aired with the questioning from internal affairs and then the mystery guy who destroyed the tapes but had the Ares Project file... even though the voice was of a much older man, what they showed of the face looked a lot like Chris.

Re: Life on Mars: "Let All the Children Boggle" 2/11 - Grading, Discus

What I always wondered is, assuming this really is all a coma dream, are there real people that Sam knows whom he is somehow basing his 1973 characters on.

Apparently there is a real Gene Hunt, I remember reading that in one episode Alex remembers meeting him when she was a child.

So I wonder who these people 'really' are, and why Sam's mind is manifesting all of this as some sort of 'Aries Project'.

And the title of this episode...is it 'boggle' or 'boogie'?

Re: Life on Mars: "Let All the Children Boggle" 2/11 - Grading, Discus

Should be Boogie.
