Levar Burton on Big Bang Theory

GOD I hate this dam show!

Even though I hate this show with a burning hellfire passion, I wish I would've seen this and the episode that featured Brent Spiner and Wil Wheaton.

I used to hate it...mainly because it goes up against "Community" on NBC and thrashes it in the ratings despite "Community" being an infinitely more creative and smart show. Also "The Big Bang Theory" really does represent a very cliched view of so called "nerds" in a mocking way rather than an affectionate way, also many of its supposedly geeky references are very shallow. ANYWAY, its still pretty funny and 10 times better than "Two and a Half Men" which is appallingly bad.
Oh and Levar Burton was on Community last season but he was doing his reading rainbow thing, they didn't mention Trek much.

i dont like to laugh at characters that are clearly mentally ill like the tall thin one.

I like BBT, except that they need to tone down the Sheldon shtick. Nobody is like this. They've taken a socially frustrated genius and warped him even further. It's getting really lame and predictable now, as well as taking on a teen-twenties kind of flare that turns off the older audience. The show has a lot of potential, though.

I think the problem with the Big Bang Theory now is that it has used all of its potential up. Its not fresh anymore and its all worn a bit thin....still watchable though and it always provides me with at least a few laughs.

I think that by making Amy and Bernadette regulars they managed to get the "freshness" back. The guys are still funny though and I see my friends and myself in them (though in exaggerated for comedic effect form.)

Wanna bet? I've taught several over the years, albeit younger. (And scarier!)

The thing is, as an educator, one doesn't want to squash such... genius(?), since that's perhaps where the next generation of unusual thinkers are coming from.
