Does anyone else watch this? It is such a good show yet no one i know here in the UK has ever even heard of it. I am at the end of season 6 and just can't get enough.

I hope the Shoresy spin off is as good!

Canada does produce some great sitcoms - Schitts Creek, Kims Convenience and now this!

It was great show. Just ended. I probably liked the earlier seasons the best but it made me laugh up until the end.

I didn't love Shoresy but that might have something to do with the fact I don't watch a lot of hockey.

Jared Keeso should be the next Wolverine.

I liked him in 19-2.

Presactly. He's not just a good choice for Wolverine because he's short(ish), stocky and Canadian. He's a good choice because he's a good dramatic actor who can play intense.

I don't watch it, but it's filmed in my area. And the spinoff doesn't pull any punches when setting it directly in my city. Word is that there will be more spinoffs. It's been a great driver of the local community and local industry, something they want to continue.

I'm from the area it's based on and am the same age as Keeso, although I never met him to my knowledge, so it definitely hit me and my friends hard. First episode I saw I had to stop it halfway through to google it, it seemed so familiar to where I grew up (although obviously exaggerated). Some storylines are directly based on things that happened when/where we grew up. It's fun to hear the call outs to towns & townships I grew up in on the show.

I found the quality started to drop off about half way through like most long running shows but it was still entertaining to the end. I can see why they decided it was time to pull the plug and focus on Shoresy (fun fact, people do shit at Wasaga, they had to ban tents at the beach for that reason) and new shows. Although I was also disappointed in season 2 of Shoresy. The product placement for their own real life businesses in the show kinda bugs me. But it's a small thing.

I'd love to see what he could do on a Trek show. Three other actors from 19-2 have turned up...about time he got his chance! :techman:

I finished the season (and series) last night.

The finale was good. They brought back some of my favorite supporting characters for cameos and threw in some callbacks to some of the funnier bits in earlier seasons. The main characters ended up more or less exactly where they should have though I kind of think
Wayne's a fool not to have gone after Bonnie McMurray (audible sigh).

I'm actually a little sad to say goodbye to the hicks, the skids and the hockey players (but not those damn dirty degens).

I was expecting Daryl and Bonnie to end up together. They've had a will they won't they thing for awhile, although more in the earlier seasons, including when she went to his room to cuddle for a night.

I was disappointed we didn't see the Dycks. Or even just one Dyck. They could have made do with just Jon's Dyck.

Speaking of Jon's Dyck, does anyone else remember the safe sex special from the 90's where he walked around in a giant condom and the arrogant worms sang about getting HIV from blow jobs if you stick your dick in a blender and the other person chews glass? Ah, grade 10 gym class safe sex curriculum...

I will admit there was a tiny, tiny, bit of a hint in the finale that might still be on the table.
