You have an unlimited budget. The only rules are, they have to be a combination of directors, producers, writers, and actors that are already established to have worked on Star Trek films in the past. But, you can use any combination. Let's see the pool we have to work from:
Directors: Robert Wise, Nicholas Meyer, Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, David Carson, Jonathan Frakes, Stuart Baird, J.J. Abrams, Justin Lin
Producers: Gene Roddenberry, Harve Bennett, Ralph Winter, Leonard Nimoy, Rick Berman, Bryan Burk
Writers: Harold Livingston, Alan Dean Foster, Harve Bennett, Jack B. Sowards, Steve Meerson, Peter Krikes, Nicholas Meyer, David Loughery, Lawrence Konner, Mark Rosenthal, Denny Martin Flinn, Rick Berman, Ronald D. Moore, Brannon Braga, Michael Piller, Brent Spiner, John Logan, J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Damon Lindelof, Simon Pegg, Doug Jung
Cast: Kirk and co. (Shatner, Nimoy, Kelley, Doohan, Nichols, Koenig, Takei), Picard and co. (Stewart, Frakes, Spiner, Dorn, Burton, McFadden, Sirtis) or Kirk and co. (Pine, Quinto, Urban, Pegg, Cho, Yelchin, Saldana)
Personally, I think a movie starring Chris Pine and co. would be pretty awesome directed by Justin Lin, produced by Harve Bennett (to give it a little bit of the Trilogy magic), with a story by Alan Dean Foster and Brannon Braga (to give it a sci-fi high concept story) and a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman & Simon Pegg & Doug Jung (to give it a fun adventurous feel).
What say you? Who would be your Trek creative dream team? Would it be Stuart Baird and Rick Berman teaming up to do a kick ass Shatner era movie written by John Logan & Roberto Orci? Would you like to see a Gene Roddenberry produced, David Carson directed Chris Pine era Kirk movie written by Brent Spiner & Rick Berman? The decision is yours!
Edit: Crap! Forgot one of the most important components! The composer! Let's see the pool:
Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, Leonard Rosenman, Cliff Eidelman, Dennis McCarthy, Michael Giacchino
I'd have to go with Michael Giacchino for my dream movie!
