Legends and Disney crossover?

In comic books, sometimes alternate versions of the characters meet up with each other-most notably with DC comics of course, who have had several crossovers dealing with the "multiverse" concept.

I wonder, could this happen with Star Wars? Not as a 'canon' thing necesarily, but just as a bit of fun perhaps, a comic series or novel series, just for fun or something. Probably won't happen of course, but could be cool. Han Solo without Chewbacca, meeting Chewbacca without Han Solo. Darth Caedus vs. Kylo Ren, Jaina (or Ben )meeting Rey, leader of the Jedi order but widowed Luke meeting exiled man without an order Luke Skywalker; etc.

However I'm guessing the Star Wars expanded universe is a bit more tightly controlled by Disney-Paramount of course seems to not mind having Star Trek team up with everything, ditto with Fox and their Alien and Predator properties.....

Although we did have that Indiana Jones crossover (which of course wasn't canon even then), but then of course they're both Lucasfilm (and have included easter egg references to each other in the films) http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Into_the_Great_Unknown

I don't see it happening given the new canon policy.

Star Trek is different because the books and comics are by definition non-canon anyway, while all the new Star Wars EU stuff is canon to the movies.

There's always fanfic, you know.

There was that time where the Falcon was caught in some kind of space anomaly and thrown back in time to 1800s Earth. 126 years later Indiana Jones came across Han Solo's remains while hunting for Bigfoot which turned out to be Chewbacca.

Running around for hundreds of year...yeah that could work.
