The first season will have 22 episodes.

The great news is that season two has already been greenlit.:)

This week's episode was great. Nice to see Chase beating D'Haran soliders and the return of the Gars. It really felt like an early season one episode. Anna finally got some development besides being that girl in Richard's vision. It should have ended with a "To be continued" since it only seem to be like half an episode.

The series really IS going to be really different from the books. Michael's ending was well done.

Richard vs Darken Rahl next week! Something tells me the episode won't end with Darken Rahl's death though. There are still a few more episodes to go this season.

Oh good, I've been waiting for Richard and Rahl to meet! This week's episode was great.

The show gave Richard's brother Michael a much more heroic death then the books. If I remember right in the books he's not heard from again until near the final confrontation with Darken Rahl when he is shown to have fallen in line with the D'Haran regime completely and I believe Richard executes him.

It's pretty interesting how the show and the book does some things the same and other things so differently. In the first book it took until nearly the end for Richard to meet Darken Rahl but it looks like the show is going to fastrack that a little by having their first face to face meeting in the middle of the season. I think it's probably a good idea having them meet sooner.

The tv series is much less dark in tone than the books which i understandable. I mean I would LOVE to see a faithful on screen adaptation of Richard's torture at the hands of Denna.... but then that would be XXX-rated now wouldn't it? LOL
