Left 4 Dead

I liked its length-I get sick of 2 hour games you can't walk away from or change in any way for fear of losing your progress.

I've played through a few times on Campaign and have enjoyed it a lot. My only real quibble is that there are a few too many weapon and throwable item caches.

Scavenger mode has been announced. 4v4, limited map. 3 rounds as Survivors and 3 as Infected. Gather gascans and fill a generator. Most points wins. And it doesn't take 2 freaking hours to finish the game! Can't wait!

My roomie and I finally cleared a couple campaigns on expert last night. We just played locally, so we had two AIs. And they are stupid. We've written off the No Mercy and Blood Harvest campaigns as impossible because of their finales.

Any tips?

They are stupid. There's a fan cartoon that plays on that-quite funny. Go here.

Tips?

If you have AI bots never heal yourself-let them do it and save your health pak.

Go upstairs. Make the bots go upstairs.(Blood Harvest). Stay upstairs. When the tank comes-get the bots between you and them. Let them take the hit. Don't worry if you Molotov a bot during the finale. If that's what it takes to survive-do it.

No Mercy-same basic strategy, stay up high and drag the bots to side roofs if possible to set up a cross fire. Let them take the hits. Get them in front of the tank and keep reloading fro0m the ammo pile. Best I can tell you.

BTW-L4D2 pre-orders get access to the online demo on 10/27!

As a caveat to this, if you DON'T want them to stop you and heal you (like when a tank is bearing down on you) and they start to, just pull out your own health kit. They will stop immediately.

Of course, if you don't have a kit, you may have to incap the bot and leave it for the tank. Every man for himself right?

Quick update-latest from L4D2- you can get jars of Boomer Bile! Throw them on a tank and the zombies swarm the tank! Also, the Desert Eagle is ingame(only 1-no dual wielding), the assault rifle is 3 round bursts(no more wasted ammo!) and you can carry a defib unit in place of health to bring someone back from the dead! Check out xbox magazine for a big, detailed article.

My group and I had a good laugh a few weeks ago during the CC finale. We were waiting for one of us who was AFK and I kept giving his bot my pills, which he'd promptly hand back. Spent several minutes giving Louis my pills then running all over the yard with the bot in hot pursuit.

Well just finished all the campaigns this last weekend. Would have been sooner, but I don't own the game so could only play when my cousin was here so I could borrow his Steam account. He did get me sweet deal for the second one though, so will be DLing that via Steam as soon as it's released :)

Less than a week til the demo is available for folks who pre-ordered. Woot!

And its the day before my birthday too!

Epic.

I had my doubts. But after watching that trailer, I think I'm gonna like the new Survivors.
