this new D.A. makes me think that a house cleaning is about to happen, i just get that "she's really just there to be a spy and expose this dirty unit and will probably be killed or moved off in the finale" vibe from her

on a side note, does anyone else feel suprised that elliot didn't kill/plant evidence on the family who pressed charges against his daughter?

Elliot said that the best thing for Kathleen was that she spend a night or two in jail. That's why he took the jewelry she stole and *gave it back* to the family. Going after the family would not have helped anyone.

yeah, I expected him to do something to de-rail/discredit them, what about that contradicts my pervious statements on him being a monster

Personally, while I thought Ellen Burstyn turned in a great performance (as usual) as Elliott's mother, I kind of thought it was reheated Sara Goldfarb (see Requiem For A Dream). But I personally would rather have the reheated leftovers of a great actor over that of a mediocre one!

Oh, by the way: Have you ever seen Christopher Meloni in the 1996 Wachowski Bros. thriller Bound (with Jennifer Tilly and Gina Gershon)? I'm telling you, his is one of the funniest death scenes I've ever seen! ([*BLAM!*] [*BLAM!*] [*BLAM!*] Don't shoot... [*KLUNK!*] Well...I guess you had to be there! )
