Captain Ross loses his objectivity, jeopardizing the case, when an old flame becomes a suspect in the disappearance of her husband and his lover.

This is the last Goren/Eames episode of the season. Hopefully we'll see process of Goren trying to heal his relationship with Eames in this episode, but showing that it'll take a long time to fully heal.

They seemed well on their way...looks like the person most in need of healing is Ross. I did love that one line he had, when talking to the psycho hosebeast bitch: "Go to hell."

(Interesting, though, that even though ME Rodgers was in it, there's no mention of *her* relationship with Ross, which presumably is still going on.)

Lot better episode than last week, although I would have preferred if they had actually made proper use of Eric Roberts (his character tonight had absolutely nothing to do with anything).

And Goren should lose the beard.

Good, though I figured out the bitch writer did it pretty quick. :p "Go to hell.: Go, Ross!

I'm glad they're not going to beat us over the head with Goren/Eames angst. (One episode can take place over many weeks or even months, after all; they've had plenty of time to work things out.)

And I hate to repeat myself (I use "hate" in the sense of "don't hate") but Eric Roberts was *way* underutilized. That one Fear Itself episode (not to mention his previous L&O appearance, on SVU), plus that totally cool Twilight Zone-ish Western he did back in '99, shows he can act.

I didn't even recognize Brenda Strong. She's changed. Okay, it's been over 20 years since I saw her in ST:TNG, but I still have a hard time believing that much time has passed.

How many prominent authors, filmmakers, and the like have been exposed as murderers in the L&O universe by now? Just last week it was a Hollywood studio exec.

Bleah, I didn't like this episode very much. It was too predictable (plus TiVo pretty much gave up the ending, not that I would have seen it coming anyways). There were only two possible suspects and the first one suspected is never the guilty one and Eric Roberts (I agree he was wasted) has the tendency of playing the big bad suspect but turns out he's innocent, so there was no drama for me whatsoever. And the way the author just started flailing in the end was just pathetic, although I guess that's the point. Meh.

As for Goren and Eames, there was only one scene of real tension, after that, they fell into instinctive investigating roles. Oh, well. Not a big deal.

Hopefully, next week's finale is better.

I don't know at the end of the scene with the Judge's body, she seemed to have had a concern look on her face...I think it was a subtle hint of the relationship.

I didn't recognize her at all, and I was thinking of Starship Troopers.

I thought this episode was well-done. Eames did not want to work with Goren again so early on, but beyond that they were both professional and did their jobs, and she even supported his line of questioning when she knew he was on to something. The tension between Ross and Goren was interesting, and I wonder if the rat in the desk reflected a bit on Ross in Goren's eyes (all us Trek fans know that the Captain is responsible for the conduct of his crew, hah). I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing if/when Eames forgives Goren, and what Goren does to earn it.

Oh, I forgot to mention. I'm going to be out of town next Sunday, so someone else will have to start the review thread.
