Hoimeier was Melakon. John Gill (the Fuhrer) was the history professor.

Someone let Ron D Moore loose and surprisingly, a Klingon episode...

Its been a long time since I watched later seasons of DS9.
I'm sorry to say, there hasn't been as many good episodes as I thought.
And to top it all off, I think 'Chrysalis' ranks among the weakest Trek episodes ever.
Lets see if the going gets better.

Kinda fun, but somewhat weird timing given the urgency of the Xindi mission.

Pardon me if I fucked up the Latin title.

Caught up on Discovery finally. This show is consistently exceptional, but boy howdy are these titles overwrought nonsense.

I loved Magic. What a hoot. Rainn Wilson was phenomenal. A big Anthony Rapp episode, which I'm always hoping to see. Every scene he had with Burnham was a highlight. This one was just such a pleasure. And a standalone! How bout that. This is an ep I think I'll revisit often. Classic Trek.

The Latin One was pretty good. A solid effort. But in a season of standout "WOW!" episodes, this one didn't blow me away. Clearly a setup to the really interesting stuff next week for the mid season finale.

It is pretty clear that Scotty is an alcoholic.

The return of Mrs Troi. And weirdness ensues.
Since when can Betazoids telepathically link to Ferengi?

The onscreen evidence is pretty overwhelming. This subject may need its own thread.

    Great lines early on:
Rules of Acquisition: #111 ("Treat people in your debt like family... exploit them") and #217 ("You can't free a fish from water")
    Interesting there's no cellphones.
