Exactly.. Is that your experience? Which movies?
Spacehunter, Metalstorm. Anything that tried to copy Star Wars or Mad Max or Conan and get it out into theaters ASAP hoping to turn a quick buck. But when you're a kid, those movies took you to faraway lands you could only dream of.
I still have a soft spot for the movie Spacehunter.
Recently I watched The Humanoid and ugh! That one just blew. It was blatantly Star Wars in look and feel
Finally getting around to watching Sinners.
Zootopia 2 was the last movie I watched, and it was thorougly enjoyable. Needed more meerkats though.

The last movie I watched was First Contact actually! I'm still in the middle of my Trek chronological watch and that just happens to be the latest movie I hit! It was very fun, but also I was appalled that it was never even brought up as an option to try to de-Borgify some of the freshly transformed crewmen. I mean Picard was living proof that they could be de-assimilated right?
I just purchased and am watching on iTunes one of the greatest sci-films ever made, “The Man in the White Suit” (1951).
