There've been a few audio-related topics here, but they've come and gone. Maybe this one can last, like the last classic Who episode you watched topic.

I'm a third of the way through the second set of War Doctor audios. The first was okay, if unspectacular. This one seems to be making a bit more of an effort to bring in a bit of the strangeness suggested by RTD's references to the Time War. But so far, aside from the War Doctor's grumpiness when he's called the Doctor, he isn't a lot different from other Doctors. In other words, in line with what we actually see of him in The Day of the Doctor, as opposed to what we hear about him.

After listening to the War Doctor audios, I'm convinced that the source of his grumpiness was everyone still calling him the Doctor when he constantly refused to go by that name, despite paradoxically not giving himself an alternate name for anyone to call him...

I'm quite behind on my Big Finish audios. I think the last one I listened to was The Two Masters, which tried a little too hard to be clever, but the rapport between Geoffrey Beevers and Alex MacQueen was palpable.. I think the first entry of the trilogy, And You Will Obey Me, was by far the strongest.

Ah. I thought there was one, but couldn't find it. Scrolled back several pages and did some thread title searches for "audio" and "Big Finish."
