Large details MSDs

Hello all.
New here.
I've heard much about this place and until now, never had time to come along and check it out.
I decided it was high time I posted and dived straight into the deep end and show some of my work.

Mostly, I have been doing MSDs for those class of ships that little is known about, but I an slowly expanding my database to include more well known classes.
I know my MSDs are not exactly like those we saw on screen, but I thought I'd use my own artistic license to develop my own style, so I can tell from a glance it's mine.

Good to have you aboard Bmused. Ironically, I was asking our resident LCARS expert about MSD's, and came across your own excellent work just last week as I was trying to do my own style MSD for a non-Trek ship.

Whatever differences there are between your own work and the show's are not readily apparent to me......they look great tho!

Those look great. If its alright, I may use your defiant one. The ship in the fiction I write is supposed to have similar design lineage, so it would give me a good reference point to work with.

They're different in that I put more detail in, the screen used MSDs feature a lot of repeated shapes and the largers once are mostly empty.

You mean the Galaxy class? It's just an engineering display and not the full fat MSD, which I have btw... it's massive!

Sure, go ahead. All I ask is that my credit remains on it and you don't butcher the graphics to put you're own ships name in there.

haha, I wouldn't dream of trying to change anything. I'm not nearly that skilled. The most I can do with computers when it comes to images is a straight line in mspaint.

As far as the Galaxy class goes, I thought I once heard that there was a Porsche in one of the shuttle bays on the MSD used in the show. Am I wrong?

There's a couple of in jokes on the MSD of the Enterprise D.
However, that MSD is not the Enterprise D, so does not have the same in jokes.
