Lack of Spoilers

I have to say I find it amazing the lack of spoilers knocking about for Discovery eps! They must have pretty good script security at CBS these days! i'm not bothered but it is interesting! Personally I'm not a fan of spoilers, but I did use to enjoy getting a bit of advance non-spoiler 'buzz' about an approaching episode from those in the know! These days -Ted Sullivan may post a snippet of info about an ep two mins before that show airs on his twitter feed - in between his amusing Trump baiting! But that seems to be it! Still it can be good going into an ep completely cold, and some people don't even watch trailers for eps! I wonder what has happened to Trekspy?!

Lack of spoilers is aweome. Not being able to peak ahead on the internet, while an ongoing arc unfolds before us, its like watching B5 all over again, and I suspect the handful of story threads will only get more complex.

The Klingons, the Vulcan separatists, the mirror verse, the dodgy technology. Things are heating up, and no one is spoiling it with a transatlantic review. Groovy.

I am a complete spoiler-whore and have lived for them in the past, but not anymore. Game Of Thrones has taught me to have patience. What you wait for is worth it. So I applaud it. And I'm amazed none of the episodes have leaked early. Keep it up CBS.

Not massive spoilers (but I have tagged in case) but Jason Isaac's has just tweeted
about Rain Wilson returning in ep 7 'in a classic Star Trek Discovery episode'
- Now those are the kind of teasers and descriptions for future eps that I do enjoy!

Having watched the previous series years behind the US, it's great to be able to go into an episode knowing little. Up until Enterprise, I often knew the entire plot of episodes before I'd seen them.

Same for us POMS mate!

In my experience, the complete void of spoilers that exists with Discovery has more to do with the insiders not seeing anything they considering interesting enough to share than it does the effectiveness of security.

Ent had to be the most spoiled up of the spinoffs. The show would send script sides to the casting agent, where someone there would copy and send them to some guy in the Netherlands (or something like that), and that guy would send copies of the sides to anyone who asked for them. He was real cool. The pages would have these big taped X's going through the dialogue, but we would always figure out what was happening. We were spoiled like 3 or 4 episodes in advance.

But in retrospect, I would never read spoilers again. It really took away some of the enjoyment ofseason 4. But I will say that being spoiled on TaTV actually helped me get through that thing.

^^In addition to all that, there was a sci-fi magazine being published at the time that has complete synopsis of the episodes due to air the month of publication, and by the end of the second season Berman and Braga themselves were actually providing detailed episode descriptions in their official interviews.

I remember back in the late nineties visiting spoiler sites to read up on all the latest buffy and star trek spoilers

Man, those were good times.
Indeed, you could get full episode synopses on almost everything ahead of time back then. And I remember being so into spoilers too. These days I avoid them for most things.

I remember getting the first few sides of the season four Ent ep I think it was called 'Home?' This was before it was filmed - What was on the page and what ended up being filmed was quite different!
