Well, here's your chance to post your ideas of what kind of devious tortures that the Elaysians had conjured up for their enemies.

They make them wear an Elasian uniform.

When I heard the name Kryton, my mind went to the Aurora Chair, or something similar.

Those aren't place mats on his uniform. They are floor mats with the little rubber spiky feet on the bottom.
When they want to torture someone they take off a mat and slap them in the face with the spiky side.
