Fans of the great bald lollypopped one can rest easy. Nearly a decade after Universal discontinued its DVD releases of Kojak after only the first season came out, Shout Factory has announced it's taking over the line and Season 2 will be coming out later this year:

There are a few 1970s shows that have never seen complete release for one reason or another: Cannon and Hart to Hart are two others that come to mind (along with the third season of Hardy Boys), so this is a good sign that other companies like Shout Factory might pick them up, though the informal announcement does suggest no such luck right now for the remaining seasons of the Bob Newhart Show or Green Acres.
Hopefully Shout Factory will also reissue Season 1 of Kojak since the original Universal DVDs are hard to come by.
