Here's another attempt, this time with a more contemporary design for the body. Still not sure about this, looks a little heavy when viewed from above, but I think it's progress.

Looks good. I think I like your original hull better, though. Put those smaller details you made for the top on that one, and I think it would really work.

I may have to make two versions of this thing, the more TOS one here and the bulkier one I originally made. I'll still have to shrink the first ones upper hull though.
